Springboard Program

Springboard is a group pain management program that
provides skills to improve quality of life

If you’ve been living with pain for a while, life can feel like it’s on hold – waiting for a diagnosis, waiting for investigations, waiting for treatments, waiting for it to just go away…

Springboard is a group pain management program run by Dr Bronwyn Lennox Thompson.

If you’ve been living with pain for a while, life can feel like it’s on hold – waiting for a diagnosis, waiting for investigations, waiting for treatments, waiting for it to just go away...

Meanwhile life goes on, sometimes with you waiting on the side-lines watching as everyone else does what they do without you.

This doesn’t mean you’re not busy: you have appointment after appointment after appointment, and your time isn’t your own!
Springboard is a six-week programme developed to help you decide what’s important to you, and to support you to take the next best steps towards being yourself again. Each session is 90 minutes long, there are some “missions” (should you choose to accept them!) to do in your own time and place, and a telephone follow-up to see how you’re going after a few weeks.

You’ll get to meet other people in the same boat as you: pain that hasn’t gone away as quickly as you’d like, having other treatments at the same time, and probably on ACC. People who understand what you mean when you say your pain hasn’t changed... yet
